This unit involves the skills and knowledge required coordinate operational strategies to achieve short and long-term goals of a power generation facility's production plant.

An operational plan describes how a power generation facility will use their resources within specified time frames. Operational strategiesare the methods used to reach objectives and performance targets related to the power generation facility's operationalplan.

Competency in this unit requires the ability to coordinate the implementation of operational strategies, monitor strategiesand report on performance against strategies. Individuals will, in general, work as a coordinator in operational management, in a power generation facility.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence or training permit to practice in the workplace where work is carried out on gas and electrical installations. Assessment Tasks
